Description	The long-neglected work of the composer Johann Joseph Ignaz Brentner raises many issues related to the musical culture of Prague in the 1710s and 1720s. In 1716-1720, four collections of his works were published there and, together with other compositions, soon disseminated around central Europe. Brentners work has survived in relative completeness, but it is scattered mainly in collections outside Czech territory. The aim of the project ensuing previous research is to gather this works and use them as a material for historical and analytical studies focusing on 1) issues of musical print in the Czech lands of the time, 2) creative treating of the genres of aria and concerto, 3) forms of compositions intended for Prague religious brotherhoods and other target groups, 4) the status of a composer in Prague and the phenomenon of musical patronage of local secular and religious aristocracy, and 5) ways of repertoire circulation not only in the central European region. The project will result in a book monograph complemented by a thematic catalogue of Brentners work. (en) Dlouho opomíjené dílo skladatele Jana Josefa Ignáce Brentnera zasahuje řadu témat souvisejících s hudební kulturou Prahy druhé a třetí dekády 18. století. V letech 1716-1720 vyšly v Praze čtyři sbírky jeho skladeb, které se spolu s dalšími kompozicemi vzápětí dočkaly rozšíření a obliby zejména ve střední Evropě. Skladatelova tvorba se dochovala v relativní úplnosti, je však rozptýlená převážně v zahraničních sbírkách. Cílem projektu, navazujícího na vlastní předchozí výzkum, je toto dílo shromáždit a využít jej co výchozí materiál a svorník pro hudebněhistorické a hudebněanalytické sondy zaměřené na 1) problematiku hudebního tisku v českých zemích dané doby, 2) způsoby tvůrčího osvojování tehdy nových hudebních druhů árie a koncertu, 3) podoby hudební tvorby pro pražské náboženské fraternity a další cílové skupiny, 4) postavení skladatele v Praze a hudební mecenát tamější světské i církevní šlechty a 5) cesty a formy cirkulace repertoáru nejen ve středoevropském prostoru. Výsledkem bude knižní monografie doplněná tematickým katalogem Brentnerova díla.
