Description
  • The core of the project is oriented to sophisticated synthesis of the innovative coordination compounds based on the transition metals (Fe, Mn, Co and Ni) as promising candidates for the molecule-based magnets or spin crossover compounds. This new class of magnetic materials makes an essential step to overcome limitations of standard ferro- or ferrimagentic compounds with three-dimensional long-range ordering and the existence of magnetic domains. Novel magnetically low-dimensional materials could enhance the capacity of hard disks or memory units or can be used as molecular sensors, switches. Magnetic properties of the prepared complexes will be studied by modern techniques (the temperature and magnetic field dependence of the magnetization, ac-susceptibility, the field-cooled and the zero-field cooled magnetization). The project put the accents on fine tuning of magneto-activity and magneto-structural correlations in order to improve their magnetic properties for the practical applications. (en)
  • Příprava nových komplexních sloučenin přechodných kovů, zejména Fe a Mn, Co, Ni, jako vhodných kandidátů pro novou třídu molekulových magnetů nebo molekulových senzorů (přepínačů), které projevují magnetickou bistabilitu na molekulové úrovni.
