| Description
| - The project aims at discovering archaeological structures (regularities, laws) in selected archaeological contexts. This was a programme neglected for the most decades of the 20th century when archaeologists looked mainly for events such as migrations, influences etc. The search for structures has become one of the principal methodological issues at the Department of archaeology in Plzeň. Formalized methods are mostly preferred. The topics solved by individual students in their dissertations have been chosen to represent key problems in Czech archaeology. The selection has been done in view to achieve good results. The topics are of three kinds: purely theoretical, spatial (based on the spatial properties of artefacts), and formal. The realisation of the project will demonstrate, on the basis of a number of contexts, methods for obtaining important concrete archaeological structures. (en)
- Cílem projektu je získat konkrétní archeologické poznání vybraných aspektů minulosti na základě archeologických pramenů. Toto poznání realizují studenti doktorského programu zapojení do výzkumného týmu, kteří se v rámci projektu soustředí zejména na zpracování svých disertačních prací.
