Description	The genus Erebia (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae, Satyrinae) is a species rich (about 100 species) butterfly group. It is distributed across Holarctic region. A high diversity of the species is concentrated to montane or cold boreal areas. The species’ areas are frequently disjunct and many of them are distributed parapatrically. It suggests that the genus might have deviated from the usual pattern of northern colonisations/southern retractions, which was assumingly adapted by the majority of European fauna as a response to quarternary climatic fluctuations. Our goal is to construct a phylogenetic hypothesis based first on morphology and then on combination of morphology and molecular data. The knowledge of between-species relationships will enable us to re-construct the origin and dispersion of the genus and it will help us to understand the development of the Holarctic fauna in Quaternary.And finally, it will offer a background for testing ecological and evolutionary hypotheses. (en) Rod Erebia (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae, Satyrinae) je vysoce diverzifikovanou skupinou motýlů, zahrnující cca 100 druhů. Vyskytuje se v celé holarktické oblasti. Překvapivě vysoká diverzita rodu je soustředěna do horských či severských oblastí. Areály druhů jsou často disjunktní a mnoho z nich vykazuje parapatrickou distribuci. To naznačuje, že by se mohlo jednat o rod, který se při střídání glaciálů a interglaciálů odchýlil od klasických severojižních retrakcí dokumentovaných u většiny zástupců evropské fauny. Naším cílem bude vytvořit fylogenetickou hypotézu na základě morfologických znaků a dále i kombinovanou analýzu s molekulárními daty. Znalost příbuzenských vztahů uvnitř rodu nám umožní zrekonstruovat vznik a šíření tohoto rodu a rozšíří znalosti o vývoji holarktické fauny ve čtvrtohorách a poskytne rámec pro testování dalších ekologických a evolučních hypotéz.
