Description	Cílem projektu je analýza vztahu české šlechty k totalitním režimům 20. století. Vzhledem k rozsahu problému bylo vybráno pro tuto skupinu charakteristických pět rodů. Kvůli rozdílnému postoji šlechty k nacismu bude třeba nejprve odpovědět na otázku, proč byly některé ochotny přijmout Československou republiku a jiné ji odmítaly. Dále bude zkoumán jejich postoj k okupaci a aktivity v období protektorátu. Bude nutné stanovit, jak pevný byl u klíčových osobností výše uvedených rodin vztak k českému národu a jak silné u nich bylo vědomí národní příslušnosti vůbec. Cílem projektu bude zjistit, které rodiny a proč se jednoznačně přihlásily na stranu nacistického Německa a jak se tato skutečnost promítla do vztahů uvnitř jednotlivých rodin i české aristokracie jako takové. Po válce byl totiž často majetek zkonfiskován nejen těm šlechticům, kteří se příhlásili k německé národnosti, ale i těm, kteří zastávali pročeské postoje a aktivně se zúčastnili odboje. Cílem projektu proto bude také analýza historických souvislostí konfiskace. The project´s principal aim is to provide an analysis of the relationship of the Czech nobility to the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century. Due to scope of the problem, the researchers have selected five aristocratic families typical for this social group. Owing to the different attitude of these families to the Nazism, first of all it will need to be answered why some of them were willing to accept the CSR and why the others refused it. Further on, the project will investigate the standpoint these families adopted vis-à-vis the occupation. It will be necessary to define how strong was its relationship to the Czech and German nations. The project´s objective is to reveal which families clearly joined the Nazi Germany and how this fact influenced the relations within the individual families and within the Czech nobility in general. After the war, property confiscation in fact touched not only those families, which had openly adopted German nationality. Consequently, the project will also provide an analysis of the historical context of property confiscation. (en)
