| Description
| - Proposed projects aims to comparatively analyze emphases, developments and interconnections of research in contemporary history in Europe, and to a limited extent also in United States and Russia. Institutional as well as personal basis of this major research area will be examined as an important part of the project. Structural comparison between the Czech situation and the developments within the so-called "great historiographies" will form the basic framework. The focus of the project will thus be on the comparative analysis of Czech, Polish, German, French and British contemporary history. The project highlights parameters of day-to-day research work, which are often sidelined in theoretical discussions, and confront them with current intellectual discourses within contemporary historiography. The starting point will be the systematic assessment of available "grand" national bibliographies for the years 1989, 1999 and 2009, which will enable us to evaluate the principal developments in the field. - Předkládaný projekt si klade za cíl komparativně prozkoumat jak těžiště zájmů, vývojové tendence a „zasíťovanost“ historiografií soudobých dějin Evropy a formou sond i USA a Ruska, tak institucionální bázi a badatelský personál oboru. Vycházíme ze strukturálního porovnání české situace s proměnami „velkých historiografií“. Těžiště srovnání pak bude ležet na analýze českého, polského, německého, francouzského a britského dějepisectví současnosti. Projekt má ukázat teoretickými a ideovými diskusemi nevnímané parametry „denní práce“ a výkonnosti oboru a konfrontovat je s aktuálním myšlením o historiografii. Východiskem zkoumání bude systematické vyhodnocení dostupných „velkých“ národních bibliografií a naznačení posunu ve srovnání let 1989, 1999, 2009.

| - Projekt se věnoval mapování soudobého stavu polské, německé, francouzské a britské historiografie a trendy výzkumu soudobých dějin v těchto zemích. Monografie (jako hlavní výstup projektu) je podstatná pro poznání evropské historiografie. Plánované výstupy byly adekvátně splněny. (cs)
