| Description
| - The central aim of the complex analysis of the recent history and the current position of the area will be the assessment of the future development of the Western Balkans area, i.e. the estimation whether the Western Balkans trends lead up to the long-therm stabilization, or the decrease of tensions represents only inter-period of the crisis. The contribution of the project being in the Czech academic production unique lies in the interdisciplinary approaches and in the complexity of researched questions. The research will not be only related to the political and ethnic development but also to the analysis of largely wider problems, such as the impacts on political-economic restructuralization, the attitudes towards the European integration processes, the perspectives of overcoming the state and national particularism, the demographic processes, the influence of religion, and the development of identities. The above mentioned processes will be analytically compared in the whole Western Balkans area. We will also analyze the aspects and impacts of the foreign policy. (en)
- Klíčovým cílem projektu je na základě komplexní analýzy nedávné historie a aktuálního stavu stanovit perspektivy dalšího vývoje areálu západního Balkánu; tedy především určit, zda zde začíná dlouhodobá stabilizace, anebo aktuální zmenšení tenzí představuje jen mezietapu krize. Přínosem projektu, který je v české vědecké produkci unikátní, je interdisciplinární přístup a komplexnost zkoumání problematiky. Výzkum se nebude týkat jen politického či etnického vývoje, ale analýza bude zahrnovat výrazně širší problematiku (mj. dopady politicko-ekonomické restrukturalizace, postoje k evropským integračním procesům, perspektivy překonávání státního a nacionálního partikularismu, demografické procesy, vliv náboženství, vývoj identit). Uvedené procesy budou analyticky komparovány v celé oblasti západního Balkánu. Analyzován bude i zahraničněpolitický aspekt. Předmětem výzkumu se stanou i důsledky vzniku nových hranic (především jejich vliv na vztahy etnických skupin oddělených státními hranicemi).
