| Description
| - The aim of the project is to analyze electoral behaviour of the Czech citizens in the Chamber of Deputies elections since 1990. In explaining the electoral behaviour (i.e. turnout and party choice) use will be made of classical theories such as class voting, party identification, issue voting or economic voting. Moreover, the 'Valence Theory of Politics' will be tested for the first time in the Czech Republic as a basis for explaining party choice. This theory highlights the importance of the evaluation of party's competence to govern on the basis of information shortcuts and heuristics like leadership evaluations and party identification. The explanation of electoral behaviour will use five different sources of data: population post-election surveys, monthly population surveys, official electoral statistics, expert survey and party manifesto dataset. - Cílem projektu je zkoumat volební chování (volební účast a volbu strany) občanů při volbách do Poslanecké sněmovny/České národní rady od roku 1990, testovat jednotlivé teorie volebního chování a popsat změny ve volebním chování v čase.
