Description	The objective of the project is to explore thoroughly two specific genres of early Byzantine literature (the narrative genre called spiritually beneficial tales and a mystic text with narrative elements) in the context of the theory and history of literature, using modern methods of literary theory, especially narratology. We intend to enrich existing knowledge and to deepen the understanding of early Byzantine literature related to the monastic environment by producing an extensive monograph on these two genres. (en) Cílem projektu je komplexní literárněhistorické a literárněteoretické prozkoumání dvou specifických žánrů raně byzantské literatury (narativní žánr zvaný spiritually beneficial tales / poučné příběhy a mystický text s narativními prvky) za pomoci moderních literárněvědných metod, především naratologie. Výstupy projektu přispějí k lepšímu poznání a pochopení raně byzantské literatury spojené s mnišským prostředím.
