Description	Studies into the New Public Management (NPM) diversity are still scarce and often favor an Anglo-American perspective (Barzelay, 2001, in Homburg, Pollitt and van Thiel, 2007). The NPM literature and research are fragmented in CEE countries (not excluding the situation in the Czech Republic). The CEE academia has concentrated particularly on NPM theory and have not paid more complex attention to region specific factors (e.g. in comparison to those enumerated with regard to reforms in Western European countries) determining outcomes of NPM reforms, although various NPM instruments were or are being implemented in the region. Present literature indicates that the level of success of NPM tools in the CEE region and also in the Czech context is limited. The mission of the proposed project, which has theoretical, empirical and managerial part, is to improve the macro aspects and micro-economic theory of and also managerial knowledge on the NPM and its instruments in the conditions of the CEE and particularly in the Czech Republic. (en) Výzkumy, které se týkají různorodosti praxe reforem v duchu filozofie New Public Management (NPM) jsou spíše ojedinělé a často zdůrazňují perspektivu anglo-americkou (Barzelay, 2001, in Homburg, Pollitt and van Thiel, 2007). Literatura z oblasti NPM je v zemích regionu střední a východní Evropy (SVE) (ČR nevyjímaje) velmi roztříštěná a dosud nevěnovala komplexnější pozornost regionálně podmíněným faktorům úspěšnosti reforem implementujících nástroje NPM, přestože řada z těchto nástrojů byla anebo je v praxi reforem zemí z tohoto regionu implementována. Doposud publikované výsledky výzkumu, který se týkal implementace nástrojů NPM v zemích SVE a v českém kontextu naznačují, že dopad reforem je dosud omezený. Posláním navrhovaného projektu, který má teoretickou, empirickou a manažerskou část, je posílit makro aspekty, mikroekonomickou teorii a manažerské znalosti o NPM a jeho instrumentech v kontextu zemí SVE, a to se zaměřením na Českou republiku.

Projektové výstupy lze hodnotit jako dostatečné - byly publikovány mimo jiné i práce v zahraničních vědeckých časopisech s nenulovým impakt faktorem. The project was divided into three areas, while well developed is the theoretical part.
