| Description
| - The input data of many economic and optimization problems are contaminated by subjective uncertainty influencing the quality of the final decisions. The classical information theory has derived tools for the analysis of that uncertainty, if it is connected with randomness. But most of the mathematical models of economy deals with the environment contaminated by another type of uncertaity, namely the vagueness, mostly connected with human factors entering the situation. Recent works characterizing the vague information sources and dealing with fuzzy set theory are closely analogous to the classical probabilistic model and they are not specifically aimed to the economic problems. Hence, the submitted project is focused on alternative approaches to the information-theoretical characteristics of vague knowledge and linguistic information sources, supported by the theory of fuzzy sets, triangular norms and namely the aggregation operators. Their formal structure will be suggested and their properties will be analyzed. The verification of the adequacy of the model to economic environment, namely to the models including knowledge and information, frequently called "the expectation", will be analyzed. (en)
- V řadě ekonomických a optimalizačních úloh jsou vstupní data zatížena subjektivitou a neurčitostí, která ovlivňuje kvalitu rozhodování. Klasická teorie informace poskytuje nástroje pro analýzu této neurčitosti, pokud je jejím zdrojem náhoda. Většina praktických ekonomicko-matematických modelů ale popisuje prostředí, které je kontaminováno jiným typem neurčitosti, totiž vágností, většinou způsobenou subjektivním lidským faktorem vstupujícím do modelované situace. Dosud byly modely vágních zdrojů informace, pracující s fuzzy množinami blízkou analogií klasického pravděpodobbnostního modelu a byly málo zaměřeny na ekonomické prostředí. Proto se navržený projekt zabývá alternativními přístupy k informačně-teoretickým charakteristikám vágních znalostí a lingvistických zdrojů informací, opřenými o teorii fuzzy množin, teorii triangulárních norem a zejména teorii agregačních operátorů. Bude navržena jejich formální struktura a analyzovány jejich vlastnosti. Součástí projektu je ověření přiměřenosti takového modelu ekonomickým problémům, zejména zahrnutí znalostí a informací do jejich struktury, často označované pojmem "očekávání".

| - Záměrem projektu byla definice a diskuse konceptů, které by byly schopny měřit „rozsah“ informace ve smyslu míry změny znalostí po obdržení nové informace. Metody i výsledky výzkumu souzní spíše s teorií informace (Shannon, 1948) než se standardním ekonomickým výzkumem. 18 publikací v impaktovaných časopisech prokazuje na druhou stranu důležitost výsledků projektu. - The main goal of the project was to introduce and discuss the concepts dealing with the “extent” of information, measuring the improvement of knowledge after obtaining a message. The research methods and results correspond much more to the information theory than to standard economic approaches. Still, 18 publications in journals with an impact factor confirm the relevance of the research outputs. (en)
