Description	In this research project, we aim to investigate various aspects of monetary policy transparency and plan to produce at least three interrelated journal articles with impact factor and a book. In the first paper, we assess whether the publicly available monetary policy voting record of the Board members in various countries is a good signal for future monetary policy changes controlling for financial market expectations (via ordered probit technique). Next, we aim to build a theoretical model to explain the impact of heterogeneity in the individual votes on the policy decisions taken at future meetings. In the second paper, we aim to analyze how central banks in various countries set their inflation target (theoretically and empirically - via panel interval regression). Among the potential determinants of the level of inflation target, we aim to include both macroeconomic as well as institutional characteristics. The third paper will contribute quantitatively to the scant evidence on understanding how central bank communication influences the financial markets. For this reason, we will gather the data on central bank communication in the Czech Republic, other macroeconomic news and fundamentals and examine the communication effects within the GARCH-type models. (en) Cílem projektu je 1) vyhodnotit dopady transparence měnové politiky na predikovatelnost měnové politiky, 2) odhadnout, jak makroekonomické a institucionální charakteristiky přispívají k stanovení inflačního cíle a 3) analyzovat, jak komunikace centrální banky ovlivňuje dynamiku finančního trhu.
