| - The project is directed to the creation of the first volume of a corpus of Baroque wall paintings on the territory of the Czech Republic. The subject of the research is Baroque wall painting in Benedictine, Cistercian and Premonstratensian monasteries inthe Bohemian Lands. A similarity of historical and cultural experience led these particular orders to similar aesthetic requirements when it came to design of the churches, convents and prelatures in which wall painting was a major element. The project will involve both documentation of the wall paintings and archival study, and a comprehensive interpretation of the paintings. Analysis will illuminate the relationship of the paintings to the different functions of the architectural spaces in which theyare set, to liturgical and ceremonial practice, to the spirituality of the order concerned and the traditions of learning and the cultural and historical identities of the different monastic communities. - Projekt směřuje k vytvoření prvního dílu korpusu barokních nástěnných maleb na území ČR. Předmětem výzkumu je barokní nástěnná malba v klášterech benediktinů, cisterciáků a premonstrátů v českých zemích. Obdobná kulturně historická zkušenost těchto řádů se odrážela v podobném způsobu uměleckého ztvárnění chrámů, konventů a prelatur, v nichž se nástěnná malba významně uplatňovala. Náplní práce bude dokumentace nástěnných maleb, archivní průzkum a komplexní interpretace maleb. Zohledněn přitom bude jejich vztah k funkci architektonického prostoru, k liturgickému a ceremoniálnímu provozu, řádové spiritualitě a vzdělanosti a kulturní a historické identitě jednotlivých klášterních komunit. Důležité bude zhodnocení ve středoevropském kontextu. Pozitivním výsledkem výzkumu bude samo pořízení dokumentace a soupisu barokních nástěnných maleb, které tvoří významnou součást evropského kulturního dědictví.
