Description	The objective of the study of the grant project is to prepare the critical edition of photo documentation mapping the state of the traditional handicraft production from 1940-60ies in Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia. The edition would be stored at CD-R. The starting basis for this project will be the photo documentation funds kept in the Institute of Ethnology of AS of the CR. Together with this source the professional depiction of each photograph will be added. It will contain the localisation, chronological record, reference to a locality, and word-book of regional or professional terms. The entire file will be amended by an accompanying study about the traditional handicraft and agricultural production with the list of recommended literature. The edition will be supplemented by a map with the high-lighted regions where now the workrooms of the bearers of the tradition of folk handicraft exist. The final result of this grant project will be the digitalisation of the entire edition and its release on the CD-R and the display of its photographical database on the internet. Accessing the sources of study of folk material culture not shown before will enable the specialists to use efficacious application of comparative methods.
