| Description
| - With respect to the fact that the core of the gender research in the Czech as well as foreign historiography and that gender studies in itself refer to a complex image of feminity and masculinity, which in the field of humanities falls behind even though the issue is very topical, the project will deal with metamorphosis of masculine identity from 16th to the middle of 20th century. The analysis will be based on ego-documents, such as private correpsondance, diarires, memoires, life stories of narrators, testaments, judicial protocols, priest sermons etc., and a special attention will be paid to various factors formative to masculine identity, such as fathergood, role in the family, warrior identity, in case of the membres of church communities to the alternative forms of acquiring male identity. - Cílem projektu je zkoumat, jak se proměňovala konstrukce mužské identity od 16. do poloviny 20. století. Předmětem zájmu budou zejména aspekty, na jejichž základě muž nabýval maskulinní identity, popřípadě alternativní rysy mužství.
