Description
  • Body image (BI) plays an important role in consumer behavior and it intensively influences marketing ideas. The planned project is oriented to cultural background of the main parts of BI and to comprehension difference among consumers connected with it. The project deals with several interconnected areas. These are general marketing model of cultural relations of BI; the factors of BI influence on consumer behavior; the main differences in perception of BI and its impact on consumers and their usability in the market segmentation processes; reflections of BI differences in marketing orientation, approaches to demonstration of BI in advertising; perception of BI in advertising among consumers and its effects on buying decision process; consequences of conflicts in BI perception in consumer behavior and their reflections in marketing of both profit and non profit areas. Several research lines will explore these areas. They involve data mining of MML-TGI data; content analyses of medial marketing communication; quantitative and qualitative research of BI perception among consumers. (en)
