Evaluation of efficiency and performance of the set of homogenous units is of a high importance in economic practice in all cases when decision makers (managers) need analyze their subordinate units. The aim of the project is to develop new modeling approaches for evaluation of efficiency based on the methodology of data envelopment analysis (DEA) and multiple criteria decision making (MCDM). The proposed models will be verified on case studies and their results compared to results of standard modeling techniques. An important problem class incorporated into the project is allocation of funds and the appropriate models that are very close to models for efficiency evaluation. The DEA models estimate efficient frontiers of production possibility sets and the efficiency is measured as a distance from the estimated frontier. The MCDM models measure the efficiency as the utility derived from criterion values influencing the efficiency. Combination of the mentioned approaches can lead to new interesting methods in this field. Except the theoretical part of the research and its verification on real-world case studies, the project includes development and/or improvement of current systems for evaluation of efficiency. They will be created in MS Excel environment and/or in modeling languages. (en)
Cílem projektu je navrhnout nové modely v oblasti hodnocení efektivnosti rozhodovacích jednotek a alokace fondů založené na kombinaci modelů analýzy obaly dat a vícekriteriálního rozhodování. Výsledky budou ověřeny na případových studiích. Zpracován bude originální programový systém v MS Excelu.
