| Description
| - The project is aimed at analysis, assessment and modelling of competitiveness of regions in the framework of the Czech Republic and of the European Union. The analysis bears on accessible statistical data whereby socioeconomic environment of the CR regions ( NUTS 3) and the EU selected regions (NUTS 2) will be characterized. In context of the analysis differences of regional competitiveness and its reasons will be identified. The basic methods of the project will be: background research and comparison, analysis of statistical data and their interpretation, deduction and induction, abstraction and synthesis and creation of model. The project will be realized at three phases: 1) theoretical and methodological approaches to assessment of the regional competitiveness, 2) analysis of the competitiveness of the CR regions and the EU selected regions, creation of model of regional competitiveness, 3) finalization of analysis, determination of regional differences, assessment and modeling of regional competitiveness including application to regional and economic policy. The main output of the project: monograph about regional competitiveness in the CR and the EU. (en)
