Description	Our project focuses on three essential topics: a) key motives that brought about the emergence and formation of the practical philosophy in the ancient - especially Greek - period of philosophy; b) reception of these motives in the philosophy of the 20thcentury; c) new and topical reflection on the relation between knowledge and action that is being undertaken on the basis of this reception. First two subjects of our research concern the emergence and formation of the ancient practical philosophy: 1. Plato's view of philosophy as a turn towards the language that was connected with Plato's conviction concerning a deep affinity between knowledge and action, between the good and the being; 2. Aristotle's distinction between praxis, poiesis and theoria and his analysis of human action. Next two subjects of our project concern the philosophy of the 20th century: 1. Reception of Aristotle's version of the practical philosophy in the thought of the 20th century; 2. Action and its relation to the notion of (en) Projekt se soustřeďuje a) na klíčové motivy vedoucí ke zrodu a formování praktické filosofie v antice; b) na recepci těchto motivů ve filosofii 20. století; c) na nové promýšlení vztahu mezi poznáním a jednáním, k němuž na základě této recepce dochází. První dva hlavní okruhy, na něž se zaměří badatelská práce řešitelů projektu, se týkají zrodu a formování praktické filosofie v antice: 1. Platónovy koncepce filosofie jako obratu k řeči a na ní založeného Platónova přesvědčení o původní spjatosti poznání a jednání, dobra a bytí; 2. Aristotelova odlišení praxis, poiesis a theoria a jeho analýzy jednání. Další dva problémové okruhy projektu se týkají filosofie 20. století: 1. Recepce Aristotelovy koncepce praktické filosofie ve 20. století. 2. Jednání a jeho vztahu k otázce smyslu. Hlavními výstupy projektu budou dvě monografie, série časopiseckých článků a recenzí, dvě mezinárodní a jedna národní konference, publikace sborníku příspěvků z těchto konferencí a dlouhodobý seminář věnovaný
