| - The objective of the project is to constrain the origin of topaz-bearing granites in the Krudum body (Krušné hory/Erzgebirge batholith). They represent a complete evolutionary sequence from two-mica granites, through highly fractionated topaz-albite granites to the feldspathites. Since the individual types of topaz-bearing granites were affected by both magmatic fractionation and younger subsolidus alterations (albitization, K-feldspathization, greisenization and argilization) to a variable degree, the Krudum granite body represents an ideal case study to constrain the evaluation of individual elements of the magmatic and metasomatic models for origin of the topaz-bearing granites and related mineralizations. To address these issues, proposed research will include a combination of field structural analysis together with AMS study, petrology and mineral chemistry, with whole-rock geochemistry including the stable (O and H) as well as radiogenic (Nd) isotopic compositions and fluid inclusions study. Particular attention will be paid to the zoning and composition of principal rock-forming and accessory minerals, resting upon the prior study of optical cathodoluminescence in quartz, feldspars, topaz and apatite and CL-SEM of quartz and zircon. - Cílem projektu je stanovení podmínek vzniku topazových granitů masivu Krudum. Toto těleso představuje ideální objekt pro případovou studii, s jejíž pomocí lze ocenit prvky magmatického a metasomatického modelu vzniku topazových granitů s využitím strukturní geologie (AMS), petrologie a geochemie.
