Description
  • Phase relations in the Fe-Mo-Nb-S system and mineralogy of Nb under extremely low oxygen fugacity have not yet been studied. Therefore, the phase relations in the condensed Fe-Mo-Nb-S system will be studied by means of dry syntheses in evacuated silica glass tubes. Experiments will be performed  in the temperature range 800 - 1100 oC. Special attention will be paid to the pseudobinary join MoS2-FeNb3S6. One mineral has been described from this system, edgarite - FeNb3S6. We plan to study the stability of phases in the system and examine their structural details, because of the probable existence of order-disorder structures. The results of this research may help in understanding the crystal chemistry of molybdenite and mineralogy of Nb under conditions unusual in nature. (en)
  • Fázové vztahy v soustavě Fe-Mo-Nb-S  a mineralogie Nb za extremně nízkych aktivit kyslíku nebyly  dosud studovány. Z těchto důvodu budou pomocí metody zatavených křemenných trubic studovány fázové vztahy v soustavě Fe-Mo-Nb-S v teplotním intervalu 800-1100oC. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována pseudobinární soustavě MoS2- FeNb3S6. Z této soustavy byl popsány minerál edgarit FeNb3S6. Detailně bude také zkoumána stabilita a strukturní chrakteristika studovaných fází jako OD struktur. Získané výsledky pomohou k pochopení krystalochemie molybdenitu a mineralogie Nb za neobvyklých přírodních  podmínek.
