Description	The aim of the proposed project is a detailed stratigraphical-paleontological and taphonomical investigation of the Stráň combined with revision of the available published and unpublished data. The expected result is a proposal of the stratotype for the Klabava Formation based on complex the study of stratigraphical-paleontological relations in the area with the most complete sections of shales. It will make possible to correlate the local stratigraphical units more precisely with other areas. Because of the nature of fauna, the Klabava Formation is key level for correlations of the Bohemia Lower Ordovician with other regions, especially in peri-Gondwana and with Batica. The proposed research could be also used for a special report on the area which is proposed to be protected by the state law. The proposed project is a contribution if the IGCP 410 %22The Great Ordovician Biodiversification Event%22. (en) Cílem předloženého grantového projektu je podrobný stratigraficko-paleontologický a tafonomický výzkum území rokycanské Stráně spočívající v revizi dosavadních poznatků, doplněných o data získaná výzkumem všech dosud nezkoumaných odkryvů. Výsledkem bude návrh revidovaných typových profilů klabavského souvrství založený na komplexním obraze stratigraficko-paleontologických poměrů oblasti s nejúplnějším sledem jílovitých břidlic klabavského souvrství a možnost jeho přesnější korelace s časově odpovídajícími uloženinami cizích oblasti. Vzhledem k povaze fauny je klabavské souvrství i klíčem ke korelaci celého českého spodního ordoviku s ostatními oblastmi, především v rámci peri-Gondwany a s Baltikou. Jelikož je území rokycanské Stráně navrženo k ochraně (CHPP Rokycanská stráň) lze výsledky grantového projektu považovat za výchozí inventarizační průzkum. Navržený projekt je součástí mezinárodního projektu IGCP 410 %22Great Ordovician Biodiversification Event%22.
