First, database of mineralogical composition of uroliths of patients from Ostrava city agglomeration will be completed with elemental composition data. Representative samples will be selected from set of 12000 samples based on statistical evaluation, and determination of minor and major constituents will be performed by spectroscopic methods. Due to uncommon matrix, new methods of determination of tortal elemental content will be developed. Method of mapping of spatial distribution of elements in uroliths, which brings information on accumulation of elements during time period, will be created. Speciation analysis of selected elements will be performed by new developed techniques. New data will be evaluated from the viewpoint of mineralogical characteristiscs as well as with regard to impact of industrially exposed Ostrava city agglomeration on human health. Available set of samples represents wide-range information database on impact of external and internal environmnet on biominerals formation during 30 years, which represents historical profile of organism exposure to toxic metals.
