Our efforts about triangulated models have two main, mutually intertwined tasks:a) Triangulated models construction and manipulation, path planningAlgorithms for fast location on the surface of geometric models. Local refinement and coarsening of triangular surface with various level of detail on request of haptic application. Triangulated models based on kinetic data.Modeling deformations and evolution of geometrical objects.Path planning/searching in the virtual reality applications, with possibilities to re-plan rapidly the path in case of objects shape changes, using triangulations as a space subdivision data structure. Fast frame-to-frame collision detection of triangulated models as an input for correct force-feedback calculation.b) Haptic and virtual realityDevelopment of fine rigid and flexible tools with triangulated surface models, applied to haptic interactions.Design and implementation of detailed surface models, allowing simulations of human controlled tools interacting with rigid and soft surface models. Nové a efektivní metody pro manipulaci s triangularizovanými modely pro haptiku a virtuální realitu, zvládající velká geometrická data, statická i dynamická a lokální manipulaci s nimi v reálném čase. Jako důkaz funkčnosti vyzkoušíme navržené metody v existujícím systému virtuální reality VRECKO.
