Description	The substance of this project is work intended to yield a method for predicting both locaL and integral critical states in the fracture process, and experimental verification of this method on selected types of engineering steel. The findings will withinthe project be exploited for quantifying the risk that the material will suffer damage and possibly cease to fulfill its intended function in actual service. (en) Podstatou navrhovaného projektu je vypracování metody predikce lokalizovaných a integrálních mezních stavů při lomovém porušení a její experimentální ověření na vybraných typech konstrukčních ocelí. V návaznosti na tuto část projektu je řešena kvantifikace rizika poškození materiálu a ztráty jeho funkce při technických aplikacích.
