This project is aimed to rock mass reinforcement during raw materials extraction or underground construction by performing chemical grouts. To examine and improve grouting efficiency, the analysis of properties of both laboratory prepared and in situ selected specimens is assumed. For this, a new methodology will be used, which combine the use of X-ray tomography and FEM computation of reinforced rock mass characteristics. The computation of mechanical properties is based on a digitizing the structure and using known properties of individual components. The aim of the project is (1) to get new knowledge about rock mass reinforcement (2) to develop the methodology of using the X-ray tomography and computation of geocomposite properties following from the digitalized structure. The computed properties will be further validated by experiments. An acquisition of new knowledge about CT scanning of geomaterials is assumed as well as a progress in new algorithms for solving extremely large homogenization problems - scaling from structural details to a representative volume. Cílem projektu je (1) získání nových poznatků o zpevňování horninového masivu, (2) rozvoj metodiky využití rentgenové tomografie a numerického výpočtu vlastností geokompozitů vycházejícího z digitalizované struktury. Vypočtené vlastnosti geokompozitů budou také experimentálně ověřovány.
