| Description
| - In the 90ies of the last century, dozens of underground uranium mines were closed and later spontaneously flooded. More than 10 years after the end of exploitation, the hydrological regime of these beds is now stable. With regard to considerable amounts of accumulated water in the mining space, relatively large concentrations of dissolved matter and relatively high water temperature, this mine water represents a potential source of resources and geothermal energy. The proposed project will provide complex information on mine waters enclosed in liquidated uranium mines, suggest sites where mine water could be used as secondary source of uranium or other minerals and trace elements associations, both for industrial and balneological exploitation, or as a source of thermal energy. Yet another objective is the assessment of the risk to the hydrosphere of environment due to possible uncontrolled overflow of old waste water from abandoned uranium mines to higher aquifers in rock environment, or possibly due to hidden or apparent overflow into surface waters. In such case draft solution of recognised problems will be submitted. (en)
- Revize a aktualizace dostupných dat o důlních vodách v opuštěných U-ložiscích. Posouzení těchto vod z hlediska využití jako druhotného zdroje surovin a zdroje geotermální energie. Zhodnocení opuštěných U-ložisek z hlediska možného ohrožení přírodního prostředí skrytou infiltrací akumulovaných vod.
