Description
  • The preparation, structure and properties of the materials created by the combination of highly branched polyimides and silica and transport of gases and vapours through the flat membranes prepared from these materials will be studied in this interdisciplinary project. Overall stable hyperbranched polyimides will be namely synthesized from commercially available 4,4´,4´´-triaminotriphenymethane and 4,4´-oxydiphthalic anhydride. Silica will be formed in situ via a sol-gel process or it will be added in the form particles into a rection mixture. The reaction conditions of their preparation will be specified with consideration for shift to the larger scale. The permeabilities of gases (nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide), organic vapours (methanol, toluene, hexane) and their mixtures will be determined. The polymer structure-transport property relationships will be studied and an influence of membrane geometry will be evaluated. The calculated selectivities will be used for making the conclusions about a potential use of these membranes for a solution of ecological problems. (en)
  • Hlavními cíli projektu jsou 1) studium přípravy kombinovaných materiálů vysoce větvený polyimid - oxid křemičitý(oxid bude připraven sol-gel procesem nebo přidáván jako aditivum) a 2) studium vztahu mezi složením těchto materiálů a jejich transportními vlastnostmi pro plyny a páry organických látek.
