High capacity transport infrastructure has many impacts on the environment. One of them is the habitat fragmentation due to transport infrastructure. Nowadays, the relative low density of motorways in the Czech Republic does not cause a big problem. With the rapid motorway construction, the situation will change. If no appropriate measures are undertaken, many local populations of animals can become endangered by the habitat fragmentation, which in the end causes a lost of diversity. The main goal of the project is to develop new theoretical methods for eco-ducts planning, construction and evaluation. The first proposed method is the user-based design of eco-ducts, supplemented by a model of social acceptability of a construction and a method for validation of the possibility of diverting the migration. All the proposed methods represent a new innovative approach which will widen the common knowledge. (en)
Cílem navrhovaného projektu je vytvoření nových teoretických poznatků v oblasti posuzování vlivů pozemních komunikací na životní prostředí: metody návrhu ekoduktů na základě potřeb uživatelů, zhodnocení možnosti účelového směřování migračního koridoru a model sociální přijatelnosti stavby.
