Description
  • Nowadays, there is a gap between the computer aided design (CAD) and the finite element analysis (FEA) as each one is based on a different geometric representation. Moreover, the geometry in the FEA is generally only the approximation of the true CAD geometry. The above problem is addressed by the isogeometric analysis which employs the same functions for the description of the geometry and for the approximation of the solution space, which means that the analysis is geometrically exact no matter how coarse the discretization is. This also implies that the analysis process can be refined to any level without altering the geometry in any way and without accessing the CAD geometry. Currently the isogeometric concept is based on NURBS, a technology employed in most CAD systems. The aim of this project is firstly to implement the isogeometric approach into an existing object oriented FE package and then to extend it to handle also T-splines geometries, which allow truly local h-refinement, and trimmed surfaces, which will even more adhere the isogeometric concept to the CAD.   • Cílem projektu je naimplementovat isogeometrickou koncepci do stávajícícho objektově orientovaného MKP softwaru a dále ji rozšířit o možnost zpracování T-spline geometrií, které umožňují ryze lokální h-zjemňování, a o podporu zpracování ořezaných ploch, čímž se prohloubí úzká vazba s CAD.
