Methods for an assessment of technical systems covering safety and risk aspects are currently being developed in several countries including the Czech Republic. Technical systems consisting of structural subsystems (buildings, tunnels) and relevant safety subsystems (sprinklers, fire detectors) will be investigated with respect to uncertainties of system properties and expected environmental effects. Advanced probabilistic approaches including Bayesian networks will be used to assess societal, economic and other consequences of adverse events and alternative decisions. The project will improve available scientific knowledge and general procedures. Partial tasks concern research in the fields of a probabilistic safety analysis (models for basic variables, methods for probabilistic analysis) and risk assessment (hazard identification, consequence analysis, risk evaluation and optimisation) as well as development of practical outputs (improvements of structural design methods, risk assessment guidelines). Achieved findings will be disseminated by contributions to international and national conferences, papers in scientific journals and documents of international research institutions. (en)
Cílem badatelského projektu je získat nové vědecké poznatky a vytvořit metodiku pro hodnocení bezpečnosti a rizik technických systémů vystavených účinkům nepříznivých vlivů okolního prostředí s uvážením nejistot ovlivňujících provoz těchto systémů.
