| Description
| - Although the manufacturers of electric machines deal, in particular, with reducing the weight and volume, the future development - especially in the case of alternators - will take, in our opinion and according to the information we have, into consideration the improvement of output by reducing losses, because it is potentially more promising and leads to the improvement of the machines' efficiency. The issues of improving efficiency are directly related, in this case or in these cases, to the ecological parameters of electric machines. Concerning alternators, it is particularly obvious, because they are driven by a combustion engine and the increase of efficiency has a direct influence on the fuel consumption. Various ways of achieving efficiency are examined; it concerns, however, always a limited number of cases. One of the main goal of this project is the more detailed analysis of various possibilities of solving the problem of efficiency and involving a larger number of machines, including starters and small machines. A more detailed analysis of different possibilities of solution of the problem of efficiency and inclusion of a wider circle of machines, i.e. not only automobile electrical machines but also small electrical machines for general use, belong among the main goals of the project.
