| Description
| - Multitone modulations are used in ADSL, VDSL, WLAN, PLC and in digital radio and television broadcasting systems. These systems use DMT or OFDM modulations. An advantage of these modulations is the simple equalization. The achieved data rate of these systems is considerably reduced on transmission channels with closely shaped frequency characteristic when the narrow-band interference occurs or on terrestrial Rayleigh fading channels. In recent years, a number of approaches of non-overlapped Filter MultiTone (FMT) modulation were published. Their disadvantages are increased complexity and transmission delay, and suboptimal utilization of the available transmission band. On ideal channels, non-overlapped FMT with the same PSD achieves a smaller data rate by reason of non-utilized spectrum part between the carriers. The goal of this project will be research into overlapped FMT systems, which enable better bandwidth utilization and lower filter order. It also needs a more complex equalization. - Cílem projektu je návrh nového modulačního schématu překryvné FMT modulace. Dílčími cíly budou: Návrh metod optimálních koeficientů filtrů překryvné FMT, návrh křížové struktury ekvalizéru, vývoj návrhových algoritmů koeficientů ekvalizérů a optimální implementace překryvné FMT na DSP procesoru.
