Description	Recent studies clearly show that the most significant limitation of current quality of service support solutions consists in the missing cooperation between these technologies and the end-user services, with maintained scalability and appropriately low hardware requirements. The aim of this project is to design a DiffServ-based method eliminating this shortage and allowing the application to participate in the classification process. The method proposed will be evaluated in the OPNET Modeler simulation environment. Another significant project benefit lies in the definition of a universal mechanism allowing applications to properly express their requirements on network resources and to forward this information to the communication network. The expected project goals will contribute to developing sophisticated network services with a more efficient use of network resources and offering higher service quality. It is these features that represent the basic pillars of a modern information society. (en) Cílem projektu je přispět ke vzniku propracovanějších síťových služeb, které budou efektivněji využívat síťové zdroje a poskytovat služby vyšší kvality. Chceme to dosáhnout návrhem metody, která umožní aplikaci podílet se dynamicky na zařazení svých datových jednotek do provozních tříd.
