Description	On the territory of the Czech Republic the beekeeping is based on the Carnica honey bee. Systematic rearing work connected with the selection of the desired properties of the Carnica honey bee by the instrumental insemination is carried out for more than40 years. Consistent control of varroa disease in the Czech Republic prevented in recent years the mass mortality of honey bees. For this reason the valuable gene pool of honey bees as well as results of selection work of the passed years are preserved. Gene pool of honey bee in the whole area of Central Europe is menaced apart from diseases also by uncontrolled introduction of distant genotypes of bees and bastardization. The topic of the project is a metodical system for the protection of gene pool of Carnica bee. This system includes complex control of the quality of queen rearing points inclusive morphological characteristics and prevention of the drift of genotypes because of inbreeding. In the areas of the cultures of pure Carnica honey bee (en) Současný hodnotný genofond včely medonosné v České republice je ohrožen introdukcí nežádoucích vzdálených genotypů. Podle navrženého projektu budou vyvinuty potřebné metodiky ke komplexní kontrole morfologické charakteristiky a žádaných vlastností v lokalitách chovů včelích matek. Pro prevenci nežádoucího zúžení genofondu vlivem příbuzenského páření bude navržena metoda kontrolované obměny, případně introdukce plemenného materiálu včely kraňské. Navrhovatel projektu, Výzkumný ústav včelařský Dol, se věnuje plemenářské problematice od r. 1919. Uživatelem výstupů projektu budou chovatelé včel v celé České republice.
