| - Topics of the research included in this project are concentrated on studies of potentially new mineral species for the world mineralogical system. The basis of this research will be the mineralogical collections of the National Museum (Praha, Czech Republic). New mineral species are practically always indicators of an unsusual geological surroundings with its specific physico-chemical characteristics. Investigation of rare mineral species inclusive their detailed description necessary for the approval of the CNMNM I. M. A. thus submits not only descriptive systematic and taxonomic data, but also a fundamental contribution to the knowledge of geological surroundings diversity, if suitable interpretation and assignement are used. Obtained results will be confronted and compared with those from field studies. Results of this project will be published in corresponding professional periodicals and will present at conferences. - Výzkum zaměřený na studium potenciálně nových druhů pro světový mineralogický systém vychází z mineralogických sbírek Národního muzea (Praha, Česká republika). Nové minerály jsou prakticky vždy indikátorem neobvyklého geologického prostředí se specifickými fyzikálně - chemickými charakteristikami. Výzkum vzácných minerálních druhů včetně jejich podrobného popisu nezbytného pro schválení Commission on New Minerals and Mineral Names I.M.A. (International Mineralogical Association) tak přináší nejen popisná systematická a taxonomická data, ale při vhodné interpretaci poskytuje i zásadní přínos pro poznání diverzity geologického prostředí. Při výzkumu bude využito celého komplexu instrumentálních analytických metod (rentgenová difrakce, elektronová mikroanalýza, spektroskopické metody aj.) a získané výsledky budou konfrontovány s poznatky z terénního výzkumu. Výsledky projektu budou publikovány v odborných periodikách a prezentovány na konferencích.
