Description
| - The project deals with applications of model taxonomic insect groups (mainly Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera and Neuroptera) to evaluate and predict biodiversity changes in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems with a special reference to protected areas. Taxonomic knowledge of the insect groups is basic for expert identification and evaluation of insects important for nature conservation. The identification laboratory (Department of Wetland Ecology, Institute of Entomology, Czech Academy of Sciences) is unique by its taxonomical and ecological programme and long term tradition. The basic approach to scientific monitoring of long term changes of insect communities in protected areas will be comprehensive Institute database of 25-50 years investigations of model aquatic and terrestrial habitats. The present project is a direct continuation of previous internationally recognized studies. (en)
- Projekt se zabývá využitím modelových taxonomických skupin (především Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Diptera a Neuroptera) při hodnocení a prognóze změn ve složení a dynamice biodiverzity vodních a terestrických ekosystémů. Hlavní zřetel bude brán na chráněná území. Taxonomická znalost uvedených skupin bude předpokladem pro kvalifikované hodnocení biodiverzity a především také při diagnostice taxonomicky obtížných skupin v rámci projektu ochrany přírody. Diagnostické pracoviště Entomologického ústavu AV ČR je jedinečné svým taxonomicko-ekologickým zaměřením a erudicí řešitelského týmu. Výchozím přístupem k vědeckému monitorování dlouhodobých změn entomofauny chráněných území bude rozsáhlá vlastní databáze řešitelů založená na mnohaletém sledování populací vodního i terestrického hmyzu po dobu 25-50 let, což odpovídá časové existenci pracoviště a souvisle navazuje na předchozí obdobné mezinárodně úspěšné projekty.

| - Pomocí metodik mnohorozměrné,taxonomické a populačně genetické analýzy a tzv. species traits byly u modelových skupin zjištěny druhy vhodné pro bioindikaci, řada druhů byla nově popsána. Modelovými oblastmi byly hlavně NP Šumava,Č. Švýcarsko a Kokořínsko. (cs)
