Description	The aim of the project is to study the pathogenesis of enteral colibacillosis of piglets after weaning. The virulence factors of E. coli O149:K88(F4) and resistance or sensitivity of piglets to edema disease after weaning will be investigated with respect to genotype of piglets, that are sensitive or resistant to E. coli F18 colonising factors. E. coli and S. typhimurium strains selected within the project will be attenuated and used as different delivery systems for the expresion of heterologous antigens. (en) Projekt řeší patogenezi enterálních koliinfekcí selat vyvolávaných kmeny E. coli séroskupiny O149:K88(F4) s ohledem na faktory virulence. Dále se zabývá vztahem genotypu selat vnímavých a resistentních ke kolonizaci střeva kmeny E. coli s kolonizačními faktory F18 k vnímavosti a resistenci k edémové nemoci. Zabývá se rovněž produkci cytokinů buněčnými kulturami po kontaktu s E.coli či S. typhimurium. Kmeny E.coli a S.typhimurium selektované v průběhu projektu budou oslabeny a využity k expresi cizorodých antigenů.
