Víceleté uplatňování nulové tolerance karanténní bakterie Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus podle závazné směrnice EU nedocílilo ani při vynaložení vysokých nákladů na testování sadbových hlíz eradikace patogena. Předložený projekt vychází z předpokladu, že dosud nebyly plně využity možnosti redukce vertikálního přenosu původce bakteriální kroužkovitosti. Malá pozornost byla rovněž věnována eliminaci patogena v rozmnožovacím materiálu předstupňů SE1 a SE2 a v základním rozmnožovacím materiálu. Cílem projektu bude: (1) navrhnout inovovaný postup detekce patogena v rostlinách a hlízách bramboru s cílem zvýšit pravděpodobnost jeho zjištění v hraničních koncentracích; (2) přispět k ozdravení stávajících genetických zdrojů sloužících pro šlechtění nových konzumních a průmyslových genotypů bramboru; (3) vypracovat postup šlechtění a množení brambor v podmínkách nulové tolerance karanténní bakterie Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus. The many years lasting zero incidence of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus (Cms) according to official EC procedure was not successful despite the high financial costs of detection Cms in seed potatoes. The proposed project is based on the assumption that has not yet been fully exploited the possibility to reduce vertical transmission of the causal agent of bacterial ring rot of potato. Little attention was also paid to the elimination of the pathogen in propagating material pre- SE1 and SE2 and in basic propagating material. The project will propose an innovative procedure for detection of the Cms pathogen in plants and potato tubers to increase the likelihood of finding it in the boundary concentrations. The project will also contribute to the consolidation of the existing retained genetic material serving as a resource for breeding of new consumer and industrial potato genotypes. The last goal of the project will establish a regular monitoring and control of genetic material for the presence of the pathogen Cms during the process of breeding . (en)
