| Description
| - Recently, we observe spread of the most invasive of all ladybirds, Harmonia axyridis, through Europe. It already entered the Czech Republic. This project aims to quantify life history parameters of the spreading population and trophic relationships of ladybirds in the conditions of Czech Republic, where climate and landscape somewhat differs from the marine Western Europe, from where it spreads. In international scale, the aim is to forecast the course and limits of recent spreading through Europe, and to describe the causes and steps of invasion. Monitoring of the ladybird in Czech Republic will enable us to name communities, crops and wild plants, whose health may be augmented naturally or after human intervention through aphid population suppression by very voratious H. axyridis. On the other hand, we suppose to define possible threads by the aggressive ladybird species on biodiversity (indigenous species of ladybirds and other insects), on the quality of food products containing traces of poisonou (en)
