| Description
| - The project offers an answer to principal questions of the strategy of sustainable management in an unmixed spruce cultivated forest. On the basis of the results of existing ecological field research stations and analyses of the condition of a forestin areas with a long-term tradition of reconstruction to a mixed stand being representative for growth conditions in the Czech Republic, the following will be defined: (1) risks of growing Norway spruce on unsuitable sites and a degree to which it is useful to reconstruct the spruce forest, (2) the degree of transformation really attainable in a given time, (3) new ecological parameters of a forest, (4) how new structure of stands and forest texture contribute to the extension of biodiversity and increasing the ecological stability, (5) how the value of wood production is changed. - Řešení projektu nabízí odpověď na zásadní otázky strategie trvale udržitelného obhospodařování nesmíšeného smrkového kulturního lesa. Na základě výsledků existujících ekologických stacionárů a rozboru stavu lesa na objektech s dlouhou tradicí přestavby v nestejnorodý smíšený les, reprezentativních pro růstové podmínky ČR, budou definována:(1) rizika pěstování smrku na nevhodných stanovištích a stupeň, do kterého je účelné smrkový les přebudovávat, (2) stupeň transformace reálně dosažitelný v danémčase, (3 nové ekologické parametry lesa, (4) jak nová struktura porostů a textura lesa přispívá k rozšíření biodiverzity a posílení ekologické stability, (5) jak se mění hodnota produkce dřeva. Metodicky je projekt založen na analýze struktury porostůa textury lesa s využitím progresivních zařízení a způsobů interpretace a na rozboru půdního stavu a živinové bilance. (cs)
