Description
  • The main objective of the project is to obtain improved apple genotypes with stable resistance against the most important diseases and to improve methods of their selection. Durability of the resistance against scab (Venturia inaequalis) will be attainedthereby; that two different genes responded for this resistance will be jointed into single genotype. Besides, the resistance based on Vf gene will be combined with that one from genotypes, which are resistant to new races of scab (no. 6 and 7). Furthermore, the resistance against scab will combined with resistance against apple mildew (Podosphaera leucotricha) and a polygenic tolerance to the mildew with the resistance against this disease based on major genes. Aside from the development of new applegenotypes with a complex resistance a topic of the research will be also new methods of selection in early phases of seedlings, accelerating of breeding cycle and application of molecular markers in the selection.   • Cílem projektu je získat zlepšené genotypy jabloní se stabilní odolností proti hlavním chorobám a zdokonalit metody jejich selekce. Trvalost odolnosti proti strupovitosti (Venturia inaequalis) bude docílena tím, že dva různé geny podmiňující tuto odolnost budou sloučeny do jednoho genotypu. Kromě toho bude kombinována rezistence založená na genu Vf s rezistencí genotypů odolných proti novým rasám strupovitosti (č. 6 a 7). Kromě toho bude kombinována rezistence proti strupovitosti s rezistencí proti padlí (Podosphaera leucotricha) a polygenní odolnost proti padlí s monogenní rezistencí proti této chorobě. Vedle tvorby rezistentního materiálu jabloní budou předmětem výzkumu nové metody selekce v raných vývojových fázích semenáčků, urychlování hybridizačního cyklu a uplatňování selekce na základě přítomnosti molekulárních markerů.
