  • Indication and timing influence substantially the outcome of the liver transplantation. To date used criteria doesn´t express the risks associated with this treatment modality accurately. Quantitative tests of liver function, assessment of testing energy expenditure calorimetricaly and examination of plasma concentrations of cytokines and HGF could improve the risk assessment of liver transplant candidate. The indication and timing of liver transplantation. Indication of liver transplantation concerns several hundred cirrhotic patients in Czech Republic annually. Indication process plays key role in achieving the good results but also determines the extend of utilization of replaceable and non-replaceable resources. (en)
  • Správná indikace a načasování transplantace jater ovlivňuje zásadním způsobem výsledky transplantační léčby. Dosud používaná kriteria nevystihují rizika příjemců dostatečně přesně. Zátěžové testy jaterních funkcí, měření klidového energetického výdeje kalorimetricky a stanovení koncentrací cytokinů a HGF má zpřesnit posuzování rizika nemocných a zdokonalit proces indikace a načasování transplantace jater. Zvažování indikace k transplantaci jater se týká v ČR několika set cirhotiků ročně. Indikační proces rozhoduje jak o výsledcích léčby, tak i o rozsahu utilizace nahraditelným i nenahraditelných zdrojů. (cs)
