| - Cílem projektu je vědecké zpracování biedermeierských zdrojů a inspirací v dílech představitelů středoevropské moderny počátku 20. století, se zaměřením především na oblast českého výtvarného a užitého umění a umělecké teorie. Tvůrci a teoretikové moderny se jako první přihlásili k uměleckému a myšlenkovému dědictví biedermeieru, jehož znovuobjevení sehrálo významnou stylotvornou roli. Projekt zahrnuje odborný průzkum sbírkových, knihovních a archivních fondů, dokumentaci uměleckých děl a písemných pramenů, a v neposlední řadě jejich nové zhodnocení, korespondující se současnými posuny v interpretaci českého biedermeieru. - The objective of our project is to prepare a scientific analysis of biedermeier resources and inspirations reflected in works of representatives of Central European modernism of the early 20th century, with special focus on Czech fine arts, decorative arts and art theory. The artists and theorists of modernism were first to declare their admiration for artistic and spiritual heritage of biedermeier, the revival of which played an important role in the shaping of style morphology of modernism. The project includes a specialized research into the collection, library and archival holdings, the documantation of works of art and written resources and, last but not least, their new evaluation, consistent with current changes in the interpretation of Czech biedermeier.
