  • Cílem projektu je zmapování hudební kultury sudetských Němců v oblasti východních Čech v letech 1850-1945 pomocí podrobného prostudování dobového tisku. Výstupem celého projektu bude dvojjazyčná česko-německá publikace doplněná bohatým obrazovým materiálem. (cs)
  • The German settlement of the bordering areas of the (contemporary) Czech Republic that lasted several hundred years significantly influenced cultural events in these regions. This project will result in mapping the Sudet-German music culture in the Eastern Bohemian region from 1850-1945. As a source material, the period newspapers (predominantly the German newspapers) will be used, involving many reports related to organized music events, concerts, dance classes and dance parties, as well as advertisements for music sheets and musical instruments and minor music theory studies. The first two years of the project work will be focused on the detail study of various period newspapers not only from national library sources, but also from international libraries and archives, predominantly in Germany. In the third year of the project work, the emphasis will be put on completing the picture material collection and the text for the planned publishing and its translation into German. At the same time, this bilingual publication will be the outcome of the whole project. (en)
