Description
  • The project is focused on creating a mathematical model and the population norms of spine shape from a set comprising more than 1000 probands of the selected professional peer group. The non-invasive three dimensional screening for spine shape shall be conducted using the micro-computer DTP-3 diagnostic system based on contact position sensor. Among partial aims of the project include optimizing the examination positions that markedly increase standing stability, whereas they serve herein to represent spine shape in free habitual standing. A part of the project comprises implementation of computer methods for spine shape evaluation, and the use of statistical tools serving to provide an objective and time-effective evaluation of spine shape from the segmental and sector point of view and also with respect to the position in the gravitational field. The project results - mathematical model and population norms of spine shape can be used in comparative anthropological studies with inclusion of other age, peer and healthcare groups, spine shape screening under field conditions and for the purposes of incorporation into the system of computerised kinesiology.
