Description	Cílem projektu je vývoj a optimalizace nového algoritmu předzpracování řeči pro kochleární implantáty. Algoritmus bude testován simulacemi ale i testy na pacientech. Zaměřit by jsme se chtěli především na optimalizaci výběru podstatných informací v řeči a v hudbě nutných pro zvýšení srozumitelnosti. (cs) The topic of the proposed project is speech preprocessing for cochlear implants. The cochlear implant is electronic device which could substitute hearing percept for deaf persons. The auditory perception is invoked by direct electrical stimulation of auditory nerve with current pulses inside cochlea. The algorithm of conversion speech signal to current pulses is called speech strategy. The research will be focused on cochlear implants made by Cochlear l. t. d. Australia. The implants are used in the Czech Republic since 1994. The main goal is to optimize the sleech processing algorithm. (en)
