Description
| - Our department with the head Prof. Dostal has longterm sucessful research in development of efficient FETI based algorithms for the solution of contact problems and unique theoretical and experimental results. However, the theoretical results concerning algorithms scalabilities were tested only on the solution of model problems. The aim of this proposal is their adaptation for the solution of large scale industrial problems as the computation of deformations, strains and temperatures of ball-bearing's components under nonsymmetric loading including the temperatures. This problem is very complicated because of large number of bodies in mutual contact and the total size of contact interface. There are many other difficulties as the computation of matrix of rigid body modes, multiplication by pseudoinverse etc. which require new approaches. To improve the rate of convergence it is necessary to find optimal setting of problem dependent parameters of algorithms QPMPGP and SMALBE and to review various types of preconditioning techniques as the usage of corners in FETI-DP on the contact interface enabling the better application of standard linear preconditioners also for nonlinear problems. I am going to use Comsol to generate the geometry, FEM structure and Matlab to debug. The aim of this proposal is also parallel implementation in C++ and PETSc and systematical evidence of scalabilities. (en)
