Description	Základním úkolem je syntetické prozkoumání vztahů mezi černomořskou oblastí, Balkánem a střední Evropou (halštatská a laténská civilizace) v 1. tisíciletí př.Kr. Součástí úkolů je pokračování česko-bulharských výkopů v řeckém emporiu Pistiru, ve spolupráci s Universitou v Liverpoolu a Francouzskou školou v Athénách. Pistiros byl řeckým městem na území thrácké říše, byl založen po polovině 5. stol. př. Kr. a několikrát zničen válečnými událostmi, naposledy Kelty při jejich tažení roku 279 př. Kr.V nakladatelství Karolinum vyšly už v redakci navrhovatele svazky Pistiros I-II, vedle řady menších publikací jinde, navrhovatelova monografie Thracians and Their Neighbours je odevzdána do tisku. Na základě smlouvy s Bulharskou akademií věd a oblastním muzeem v Septemvri má navrhovatel prodlouženou licenci k pokračování výzkumu, který slouží i praktické výuce posluchačů klasické archeologie. Vedle pokračování výzkumu a publikace jeho výsledků v dalších dvou monografiích je v plánu příprava monografie o (cs) "The main target of the project is a synthetical examination (resulting in the monograph by the applicant) of relations between the Black Sea area, the Balkans and Central Europe (Hallstatt and La Tčne civilisations) in the 1st millennium BC. The project includes continuation of Czech-Bulgarian excavations of the Greek emporion Pistiros, in collaboration with the University of Liverpool and the French School at Athens. Pistiros was a Greek city on the Odrysian territory, founded at mid 5th century BC anddestroyed several times; the last destruction was by the Celts in 279 BC. The excavations brought already important generally recognized results, large parts of them were published by the Charles University in two volumes under the redaction of the applicant, whose monograph ""Thracians and Their Neighbours"" is in print, and who already received the license for continuation of the excavations, which also serve to education of students of Classical Archeology.
