Description	Isoëtes echinospora a I. lacustris are critically endangered glacial relicts in the Czech Republic, living in two strongly acidified lakes in the Bohemian Forest. In the main distribution area in Europe and N. America, they represent the soft-water vegetation, which has rapidly declined due to acidification. Recently, a considerable reduction of the Bohemian populations and reproduction interruption have been found. However, signs of recovery have also been evident since 2004. According to preliminary experiments it corresponds to pH increase and toxic aluminium decrease in the water. Up-to-date plant fitness (biometry), stand, and reproduction recovery, demography and biotic (mycorrhiza) and abiotic environmental factors for gametophyte and sporeling development will be investigated in Bohemian and Scandinavian lakes. Experiments on effects of pH and Al3+ on reproduction will be conducted. Biological response of quillworts on acidification and indication potential will be clarified. (en) Isoëtes echinospora a I. lacustris jsou v ČR kriticky ohrožené glaciální relikty, žijící pouze v silně acidifikovaných jezerech na Šumavě. V hlavní oblasti rozšíření v Evropě a S. Americe jsou typickými zástupci vegetace vod s nízkou pufrační kapacitou, která rychle podléhá acidifikaci. Recentně bylo zjištěno výrazné zmenšení také šumavských populací a přerušení reprodukce. Od roku 2004 však populace vykazují známky zotavení, které podle předběžných experimentů a průzkumu postižení reprodukčních stádií in situ souvisí obnovou pH a poklesem toxického Al ve vodě. Bude detailně vyšetřen aktuální stav rostlin (biometrie), obnova a stárnutí porostů (demografie) a obnova reprodukce v šumavských i norských jezerech, současně budou šetřeny biotické (mykorhiza) a abiotické faktory prostředí pro vývoj gametofytů a juvenilních sporofytů. Experimentálně bude objasněn vliv Ali a pH na reprodukci. Bude objasněna biologická odpověď šídlatek na acidifikaci a jejich indikační potenciál. (cs)
